This is not an american street rod .. but is powered by an american power plant, I wanted a street rod but all I had was this bug, So I did what I could with it ,now I have done 100% of the work on this car , didnt pay nobody to do anything , A true home built project ,I started by widening the car 12 inches down the middle , chopped 5 inches out of the top and added 4 inches on the bottom (4 inch channel iron for strength) The whole car is welded together body to cage to pan etc, It is powered by a 500 cid cadillac El Dorado engine and transaxle in the rear of the car,  My site www.wide69.com
