About my Roadster

This is my 30 year dream,30years dreaming, 10 years building it. It is a fiberglass body from Econo Race Cars, I built the frame, the way I wanted it, on my garage floor, front end is from Speedway Motors as are the disc brakes ,on 41 spindels that I had.The engine ia 67' 283 with and Edelbrock 600 and headers, backed by an aluminum powerglide, to a Ford 8" rearend. The windshield post, frame, door hinges and radiator shell are origional model T. You wouldn't beleive how many parts were given to me. The all required some work, but sure cut the cost.I built the hood out of 18 gague, the fuel tank and trunk are Farmall Tractor.Paint is by Rat-L-Can, stripes are by T-Ape, interior by am-it-ure(me). It will get real Paint and Interior this winter, but for now it's a kick in the butt to drive. I have had itnon the road for 3 years now and have 4000+ miles on it,with 2 awards from shows.

I'll try to ad the new pics, some like them some don't! The origianl drawing done in about 1972 called for wire wheels, never could aford them until i found these in a scrap yard, they were in bad shape, chrome peeling lots of surface rust,I wet santed them and painted them with Duplicolor Metal cast paint. New center caps, lug nuts and washers.  Hope you like it.

It, been another year,I redid the interior for more of a 50's/60's look, I will add the pics soon. I won 2 awards at runs, I was shocked, I don't go there to win trophies, just to have fun, and it has 3100+ miles on it now.I went to slightly taller but narrower tires in front, sure helped the handeling.

Ya, Satin Black with real pinstripes is the Plan. I was planning on a mellow yellow, with burgandy scollups, but I have had so many comments on the way it looks now, I think I'll keep it that way.

Well done, looks great with the Moon disks.
Hope you keep the basic paint & stripe set up when
you get "real" paint, looks great.
