In 2003 I rebuilt the drivetrain on my 55 T-bird,

It's a 292 Y block bored .060 over(301 cu in) with forged TRW's, Holman Moody 882 cam, lightweight valvetrain, ported ECZ C heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves, ARP bolts and studs, Clevite 77 bearings,True Roller double roller timing chain, topped off with "Towering Inferno" 2-4 setup with Holley 4000 carb's off of a '57 Ford. I'm running a Mallory Unilite ignition in a '62 distributor and MSD6AL box with Master Blaster coil.
World Class T-5 tranny, Borg Warner 11" Brute Force clutch, Dana 44 rear with 3.31 highway gears.
Front suspension was rebuilt with PST parts/ 1" sway bar, also added '78 Granada spindles with 11" disc's and added '87 Buick Skylark power steering rack. New brakes in back along with added 7/8" sway bar.

The paint is Raven black acrylic lacquer painted in 1983 by Bob Miller and I  and the flames were added in 2003 by Rick Mayo, (8-ball), of 8-Ball Engineering in Clovis NM  

Since that time I've put about 16,000 miles on it driving all over the place with my longest cruise from Lubbock TX to Arlington TX for the 2004 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour from Arlington TX to Green Bay WI and back to Lubbock. I've also driven it to Joplin MO for the HAMB Nationals and to Austin TX several times for the Lone Star Roundup.
