I've been working on my 48 chevy for about 10 years. It's got a hopped up 1959 235 straight 6 with a synchronized 4 speed tranny, a Ford 9 inch rear end for better highway speeds and a 4 barrel Clifford Intake and a 500 cfm Edlebrock carb with headers, Mallory Electronic ignition, air conditioning, Howard Performance cam, and new paint. I love the sound of my straight 6 coming through the cherry bomb glass packs and Harley Davidson shark tail exhaust tips. My recent improvements was the Mustang 2 front end suspension installed by Arizona Street Rod Shop in Phoenix, Az. The car was rewired at Lefty's Auto Electic in Phoenix, AZ. I also added new '49 Chevy Hubcaps and Hotrod pinstripping. My other plans include air ride suspension in the back, ghost flames, also to install big white wall tires. I enjoy going to the Saturday night car show on 67th ave Bell in the K-Mart/Mixteca Plaza when the weather is permitting. I also enjoy driving my car and going to local car club events. I also on occasion attend the car show at the Scottsdale Pavillions.

Hey dad, I like the picture you have up of your car, it looked really clean at that carshow. I found a website that might be interesting to you. It shows that the stock horsepower of a 235 I-6 like the one you have is 135 H.P. (6-235 1 Barrel). Try looking at this website and I bet we could make a more accurate estimate of the performance of your car. http://www.carnut.com/specs/gen/chv62.html
