I found this El Camino in a junkyard. I learned to drive in a '67 and was really looking for one of those. When I saw the '60 it really took me back. I couldn't recall when I had last seen one. It had no engine, trans, front sheetmetal or interior. I paid $500 for it wondering if I could even find all the parts to piece it back together. It took about a year and a half. I covered New Mexico north, south, east and west. I ended up buying three more El Caminos and one Impala four door. They wouldn't sell parts, just the whole car. I've been working on it for ten years now and it's almost done. It has a 427 with new block, '67 heads, rods and crank. Trans is a 700r4, 2" drop spindles, front disks and 605 steering box.
